Top Bible Verses About Trusting God

As COVID-19 is still a pressing issue and concern around the world, it can be relatively easy to get caught up thinking about the uncertainty that it holds. Fear and anxiety can build up in our minds as we continue to wonder when this pandemic will end. Any feelings that we might have had of being in control are stripped away, which can leave us fearful of what is to come next. However, we do not have to fear because our Almighty King is in control. He is sovereign and He has a plan. God commands us to not be afraid, for He is God and He has ultimate control (Isaiah 41:10). Instead, He calls us to trust in Him and stand firm in our faith. When we trust in God, we have the power and strength to overcome our fear and anxiety through Him (Ephesians 6:10; Psalm 29:11).

Here are a few Bible verses that can help remind us to trust God in every situation no matter what:

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. – Proverbs 3:5-6

But blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit. – Jeremiah 17:7-8

Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD himself, is the Rock eternal. – Isaiah 26:4

When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise – in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? – Psalm 56:3-4

Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The LORD, the LORD himself, is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation. – Isaiah 12:2

Those who know your name trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you. – Psalm 9:10

Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge. – Psalm 62:8

They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the LORD. – Psalm 112:7

Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is kept safe. – Proverbs 29:25

It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in humans. – Psalm 118:8

Focusing on these few Bible verses can help us remember to always trust in God. We can have confidence in Him because He is sovereign, faithful, and good. We do not have to fear the unknown because God is all-knowing. We can simply put our trust in Him and know that He is fully in control.
