Bible Verses That Remind Us Of God's Promise

Bible Verses That Remind Us Of God's Promise

The bible reminds us that it is inevitable that we, at one point or another, will experience heartache, pain and trouble (John 16:33).  Placing our faith in Jesus guarantees us of a beautiful redemption in God but it does not guarantee that all of life's ups and downs will go away.  We still live in a broken world and as such, we're still here to experience some of the pain that comes along with it.

But God, in his loving kindness, doesn't leave us to deal with our troubles on our own.  Not only does He promise to be with us through the storms, He has also armed us with His word that can remind us daily of all of His wonderful promises, through the Holy Spirit.

And don't feel burdened if you feel like your faith is too small to believe in these promises because it's not how much faith you have that matters, it's WHO you put your faith into that matters most.  You could have all the faith in the world that a chair with 3 broken legs will hold your weight but in the end, your faith won't hold you up.  Conversely, you could have such little faith that a chair with 4 perfect legs will hold you up, but it's not the measure of your faith but the integrity of that chair itself that will, in the end, come through.

It is the same with God.  God asks you to have faith in Him even as small as a mustard seed.  So as you journey through life, with all of its ups and downs, have faith in these promises of God when...
